"Bortezomib Shows Promise in Treatment of Relapsed or Refractory Mantle Cell Lymphoma: Presented at EHA" By Danny Kucharsky STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN -- June 9, 2005 -- The proteasome inhibitor bortezomib should be considered as a new therapeutic option for patients with relapsed or refractory mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), said investigators at the 10[th Congress of the European Hematology Association (EHA). Bortezomib is the first proteasome inhibitor with activity in humans with multiple myeloma and evidence of activity as a single agent in relapsed, refractory non-Hodgkin's disease. |
