Acute Abdominal Pain in a Patient Receiving Enoxaparin

Summary points:	A 73-year-old female, who was hospitalised 13 days earlier because of a head injury with impaired consciousness and periorbital haematoma and treated with enoxaparin, complains of a sudden onset of severe abdominal pain. Physical examination, laboratory tests, and computed tomography are described; images provided. The authors discuss the diagnosis criteria and causes of rectus sheath haematoma.
