        news Mycobacterium Avium-Intracellulare Infection Presenting as a Testicular Mass in an Immunocompromised Patient: A Case Report

        Summary points:A 63-year-old man with a history of systemic lupus erythematosis (SLE), haemolytic anaemia, recurrent idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura, and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma presents with a tender, diffusely enlarged right testicle. Ultrasound scan of his right testicle, right orchidectomy, histology of the right testis, and postoperative outcomes are described; images provided. The authors discuss isolated non-tuberculous mycobacteria infection of the right testis due to being immunocompromised from SLE, recent lymphoma, and immunosuppressive drugs.
