        Summary points:An 85-year-old female with sporadic Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) presents with dizziness following a 1-month history of unusual intracranial sensations. Serial diffusion-weighted images using 1.5T magnetic resonance imaging scanners are described; images provided. The authors discuss the problems associated with a wide window width in detecting early slight high-intensity lesions.
