| Summary points: | A 14-year-old Asian girl presents with chronic low back pain for the past year. Plain radiograph, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging, and percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) for vertebral haemangioma are described. Twelve months after PVP, the patient developed severe radicular right-leg pain which interfered with daily activities. Physical examination, repeat plain radiograph and CT, electrodiagnostic study, and decompressive surgery are described. The authors discuss a case of late-onset sciatalgia as a rare complication of PVP. |
