| Summary points: | A 34-year-old, Caucasian, female nonsmoker presents with recurrent pneumonias of her right middle lobe. She experienced recurrent fevers, cough, and occasional pleuritic pain for approximately 1 year. Physical examinations, chest radiograph, computed tomography of the chest, bronchoscopy with biopsies, lobectomy, histologic examinations, and postoperative outcomes are described. The authors present a very rare case of primary pulmonary leiomyoma and discuss their treatment approach which carried a favourable prognosis. |
