| Summary points: | An 18-year-old Turkish woman is referred for a 6-week history of rapidly enlarging left cervical mass. She was diagnosed with ampullary carcinoma for which pancreatoduodenectomy was performed. Six months after chemotherapy, a rapidly enlarging right neck mass was observed and was considered a metastasis to the neck. Laboratory data, ultrasonography, tumour resection, and histopathological examination are described. The authors caution that surgery does not improve survival for advanced metastatic ampullary cancer. |
