        news Peritoneal Tuberculosis and Granulomatous Hepatitis Secondary to Treatment of Bladder Cancer with Bacillus Calmette-Guerin

        Summary points:This report describes 2 cases of serious side effects following intravesical administration of Bacillus Calmette-Guerin for the treatment of superficial bladder cancer. One is the second reported case of tubercular peritonitis and the second is a case of granulomatous hepatitis. The authors discuss strategies for monitoring for these side effects and possible treatment options.
