      Summary points:A 32-year-old Japanese female with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) presents with unusual thirst and gradual body weight loss for 3 years. Medical history, gynaecological examination, laboratory data, brain magnetic resonance imaging with images, and endocrine tests are described. The authors describe a rare case of PCOS complicated with acromegaly due to a growth hormone-producing pituitary adenoma.
