      Summary points:A 52-year-old man presents with long-term haematuria, mucusuria, abdominal flank pain, and occasional bouts of nausea and vomiting. Medical history, physical examination, computed tomography scan, which revealed a cystic renal mass involving the left kidney, nephrectomy, and post-surgical outcomes are described. The authors discuss pseudomyxoma peritonei associated with primary mucinous borderline tumour of the renal pelvicalyceal system.
