news Myoepithelioma of the Larynx: A Case Report

Presented by:Cases Journal / Angelos Chatziavramidis, Alexandra Grekou, Ioannis Thomaidis and Thomas Sidiras
Summary points:A 37-year-old male who underwent microlaryngoscopy 1.5 years earlier for an endolaryngeal expanding mass, presents with slowly aggravating hoarseness for the last 2 years and activity-dyspnoea coexisting for the last 2 months. He reports no pain or dysphagia. Fiberoptic endoscopy, computed tomography of the neck, laryngofissure, and postoperative long term follow-up are described. The authors discuss a rare case of myoepithelioma of the larynx, review the peculiarities of the differential diagnosis, and suggest a detailed pathology examination for avoidance of misleading diagnosis.
