      Summary points:A 56-year-old with biopsy-confirmed invasive ductal carcinoma presents with an ovarian mass associated with ascites and pleural effusion during pretreatment staging investigations. This case report details the clinical presentation, diagnostic investigations, and treatment outcome, and includes some images. The authors highlight the need for awareness about benign syndromes that may mimic a similar picture and mislead the diagnosis and management plan.
