      Summary points:A 76-year-old with history of recurrent local follicular thyroid carcinoma presents with four intensively vascularised scalp tumours that bled on contact during hair dressing. This case report describes the patient's history, diagnostic investigations, treatment, and outcome, and includes a series of images. The authors discuss the common locations of cutaneous metastases in patients with follicular thyroid carcinomas.
