| Summary points: | A 60-year-old patient with liver cirrhosis due to hepatitis C infection presents with a hepatic mass. This case report describes the history, findings from serial blood tests, radiological tests and diagnostic laparoscopy, the treatment intervention, histopathological results, and outcome, and includes some images. The authors discuss the development of hepatic splenosis mimicking hepatocellular carcinoma, the importance of distinguishing the nature of a hepatic mass, and the role of laparoscopy for this purpose. |
