        Summary points:A 19-year-old Japanese man with Crohn's disease (CD) was admitted to the hospital for prolonged symptoms of general malaise, fever, and nonproductive cough. Physical examination, laboratory data, serological tests, antibiotic treatment, chest computed tomography, flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy, and tracheal biopsy are described. The authors discuss tracheobronchial inflammation accompanying CD, which can improve significantly with inhaled corticosteroid therapy.
