        Summary points:A 26-year-old male presents with an acute coronary syndrome. He had experienced blunt chest trauma while playing soccer, taking a high velocity shot on the chest causing episodes of intense chest pain. Medical history, cardiac catheterisation, bare metal stenting, cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR), and therapy are described. The authors discuss CMR of myocardial infarction after blunt chest trauma.
