news An Unusual Case of Finger Swelling: A Case Report

Presented by:Cases Journal / Richard M Graham, Melanie C Sharp and G Patrick Ashcroft
Summary points:The authors present the case of a 66-year-old man, with a previous left ring-finger ganglion who presented with haemoptysis. Radiographic investigations revealed a left lung mass and he underwent a left pneumonectomy. However, a recurrent left ring-finger ganglion appeared; images provided. This was also found to be a leiomyosarcoma. The authors discuss a primary pulmonary leiomyosarcoma with a metastatic digit deposit, which is extremely rare.
