| Summary points: | A 72-year-old woman presents with rectal bleeding without significant anaemia or clinical symptoms. Medical history, endoscopic examination, which revealed a voluminous neoplastic mass in the cecal tract of the colon without obstruction, biopsy of the lesion, computed tomography, right hemicolectomy, pathology report, and treatment are described. The authors discuss the atypical clinical experience of a good outcome in advanced malignant disease with liver involvement treated with chemotherapy. |
