      Summary points:A 79-year-old generally healthy woman presents with a 3-month history of episodic abdominal pain and progressive constipation associated with weight loss. Physical examination, laboratory data, computed tomography, colonoscopy, biopsies, laparotomy, surgery, and postoperative outcomes are described. The authors discuss a rare case of a primary locally advanced liposarcoma of the colon presenting as a large intraluminal mass in the right colic angle.
