        news Acute Generalized Exanthematous Pustulosis (AGEP) Triggered by a Spider Bite

        Summary points:A 56-year-old woman, 5 days after receiving cefuroxime and clindamycin intramuscularly for a spider bite that resulted in dermonecrotic skin lesions, presents with a fever of 38 to 39°C, dozens of small nonfolicular pustules, and complaints of pruritus and a burning sensation of the skin. Laboratory tests, skin punch biopsy, and histology are described; images provided. The authors discuss the relationship between spider bites, antibiotics, and acute generalised exanthematous pustulosis.
