| Summary points: | A 37-year-old woman, who underwent dilatation and curettage 7 years previously for amenorrhoea of 4 months' duration, presents with haematuria, increased urinary frequency, and suprapubic pain for the previous 7 years. Menstrual history, gynecological examination, abdominal examination, ultrasonography of the kidney, ureter, and bladder (KUB), x-ray KUB, and cystoscopy are described. The authors discuss a rare case of a foreign body in the urinary bladder which migrated into the bladder during dilatation and curettage. |
