Renal Amyloidosis in Whipple Disease: A Case Report

Summary points:	A 44-year-old Caucasian male presents with high-grade fevers, loss of weight, diarrhea, and joint pain for 3 months. Physical examination, upper endoscopy, and histochemistry examinations are described; images provided. The authors discuss a rare case of Whipple disease complicated by secondary amyloidosis and kidney failure maintained on permanent renal replacement therapy.
