| Summary points: | A 92-year-old woman presents with multiple, tan to black coloured skin eruptions with rough, warty or greasy surfaces, consistent with the diagnosis of multiple seborrheic keratoses, that had dramatically increased in size and number over the past 2 years, as well as a 2-month history of abdominal pain and weight loss. Laboratory examinations, diagnostic abdominal ultrasound, computed tomography, surgical management, and histopathological evaluation are reviewed; images provided. The authors describe the Leser-Trélat sign, which may coincide with the diagnosis of occult cancer, and suggest thorough examinations in patients presenting with eruptive seborrheic keratoses. |
