| Summary points: | A 48-year-old Japanese man is admitted to the hospital because of mild paresis of left leg. Brain computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed a solitary tumour with features of cavernous haemangioma in the right temporal lobe. Immunohistochemical analysis, repeat CT, MRI, and positron emission tomography, which detected a small lung tumour, and biopsy are described. The case suggests that occult very small lung carcinoma can metastasise to brain and such metastases may mimic cavernous haemangioma radiologically. |
