        Summary points:A 75-year-old male presents with a history of a progressive stiffness of both auricles over the last 15 years, and complaints of mild discomfort when resting in each side, making sleep unpleasant. Ear, Nose, and Throat examination, laboratory tests, computed tomography of the skull, and histology are described; images provided. The authors discuss the pathogenesis of true auricular ossification.
