        news Female Sexual Dysfunction: Does Surgically Induced Menopause Matter?

        Summary points:A 47-year-old with 1-year history of hysterectomy and oophorectomy presents with hot flashes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness that partially responded to oral conjugated equine oestrogens. This case report describes the clinical presentation, treatments, and outcome. The authors discuss the symptoms of hypoactive sexual desire disorder in women with surgically induced menopause, potential contributory factors, effects of different forms of oestrogen, and the impact of testosterone supplementation.
