        Summary points:A 51-year-old presents hospitalised for treatment of alcoholic cirrhosis develops palpable purpura 7 days after starting cefotaxime therapy. This case report details the patient's history, clinical and laboratory features, progress in hospital, treatment, and outcome, and includes some images. The authors discuss the possible causes of vasculitis and review the literature on drug-induced leukocytoclastic vasculitis.
