        news Pica and Refractory Iron Deficiency Anaemia: A Case Report

        Summary points:A 34-year-old presents with incapacitating fatigue related to severe iron deficiency anaemia 12 years after starting iron replacement for idiopathic iron deficiency. This case report describes the findings from gastroscopy, laboratory tests, biopsy, and radiological tests, the diagnosis, and treatment, and includes some images. The authors discuss the mechanism of iron deficiency anaemia due to kaolin ingestion.
