        Summary points:An obese 33-year-old with no history of hereditary dyslipidaemia or diabetes presents with acute pain in the left hypochondrium and vomiting, as well as a 10-day history of papular dermatosis and diabetic symptoms. This case report details the clinical exploration, laboratory tests, biopsy, treatment, and outcome, and includes some images. The authors discuss the histologically manifestation of xanthomas, the causes of acute pancreatitis, and treatment.
