      news Endogenous Klebsiella Endophthalmitis in a Vietnamese Immigrant

      Summary points:A previously healthy 54-year-old Vietnamese carpenter presents with a 13-day history of redness, tearing, and pain in his left eye, which was associated with progressive reduction in visual acuity. Eye examination, physical examination, laboratory data, and computed tomography are described; images provided. The authors discuss their diagnosis of endogenous endophthalmitis caused by Staphylococcus aureus K. pneumoniae and highlight the importance of obtaining an urgent ophthalmologic assessment for patients who present with eye redness, ocular pain, and blurred vision.
