        Summary points:This educational presentation uses interactive case studies to explain the impact of hepatic dysfunction on antiretroviral pharmacokinetics, the impact of antiretroviral therapy on the natural history of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, gives examples of important interactions between antiretroviral drugs and ribavirin, and identifies unique issues in liver transplantation for end-stage liver disease resulting from HCV infection in coinfected patients.
